MOTOCROSS ace Morgan Robertson has been crowned as 2019 ScotMX2 champion.

This is his first Scottish title and it follows five hard-fought rounds of racing which saw him compete at venues as far afield as Easter Ross and the Scottish Borders.

MX2 is an adult class for 250cc motocross bikes.

Morgan, of Barrock Mill, Lyth, spent most weekends travelling to different tracks practising with the support of his dad, Andrew Robertson.

The first round of the championship was at Leuchars (Fife) and events continued at Duns (Scottish Borders), Rhynie (Aberdeenshire) and Doune (Stirling) before the fifth and final one at the "home track" of Tain.

Morgan has been racing since the age of eight and is a member of Caithness Motocross Club whose events take place at the Ravenshill track, Thurso.

He attended a presentation in Dundee to receive his trophy from the British champion Stephen Sword.
