More than 100 youngsters took part in a two-day Coerver Coaching clinic hosted by Thurso Football Academy over the weekend.

Thurso Football Academy's head of coaching Alyn Gunn said: "The sessions were six years in the making and were a fantastic way to mark eight years of Thurso Football Academy. It was something completely different from what we are all used to from a coaching perspective.

"The kids had a brilliant time and the feedback we have received from parents and coaches has been great. The Coerver coaches were very complimentary of the standard of players attending and are looking forward to continuing our relationship going forward."

Coerver Coaching is a global programme inspired by the teachings of Dutch coach Wiel Coerver.

Twenty-five coaches from youth football clubs across Caithness attended the coach education part of the weekend.
