Four teams from Ashleigh Campbell’s Castle View Stables at Wick competed in the 2025 final of the Pony Club’s national quiz competition held in South Yorkshire – and one of them, a group of minis, came home as winners.

A record 143 teams from across the UK enjoyed fun and friendship while showing their equestrian knowledge at the Dodson and Horrell National Quiz Final at Sheffield Wednesday’s football stadium.

Castle View Stables Pony Club centre had two mini teams and two junior/senior teams in the final. There are separate categories for Pony Club centres and branches.

The minis came first and ninth in their category, while the juniors/seniors were second and 11th.

Ashleigh, owner and instructor at Castle View Stables, said: “It was great to showcase the talent of Castle View Stables on a national stage, and to take home these placings is something I have only ever dreamt about.

“It wouldn’t haven’t been possible without the hard work and dedication from the quizzers and their parents. It has been a whirlwind and I can’t wait for next year.”
