Miller Academy Primary School took the spoils in a game with Noss Primary on a sunny afternoon in Wick on Friday afternoon.

Noss Primary made the Miller football team from Thurso very welcome for their East v West friendly match.

Miller Academy head teacher Jacqui Budge said: “Mr Fraser Thomson, the head teacher of Noss, made us all so welcome and all teams played with great spirit and sportsmanship which Mr Thomson and I were so proud of.

“Mr Thomson thanked the football coaches who so very kindly volunteer to support football in both schools, namely Mr Graeme Sutherland at Noss and Mr David Hale at Miller.

“Our teams loved this opportunity due to the ‘beautiful game’ being such a huge part of their lives and we are very grateful to Mr Joshua Hughes for his assistance.”
