Wick Academy are on the hunt for a new manager after Tom McKenna quit the club.

McKenna had been in charge since 2017, with the main highlight being the Scorries achieving a seventh-placed finish last season.

However, their current Highland League campaign has been stop-start and beset by injuries to a number of players.

A club statement said: "Wick Academy manager Tom McKenna has resigned from his position as first team manager.

"The club has reluctantly accepted Tom’s resignation. We would like to thank Tom for his contribution and commitment since he joined us in September 2017.

"We wish Tom and his family all the very best for the future. The club is organising interim management cover to take us at least to the end of this season, further information regarding this will be announced shortly."
