Martens leads the goal charge as Lybster hit back against Castletown

Jonah Martens was the star man for Lybster as they came from behind to win 6-3 against Castletown in the latest round of Friendly League fixtures.
Castletown started strongly and were two up after 25 minutes. Lybster pulled a goal back before half-time through Gary Weir after a cross into the box was headed back across goal by Martens.
Lybster raced into a 4-2 lead with a hat-trick from Martens. Castletown pulled one back through Michael Smith but Martens got on the scoresheet again to make it 5-3 before Tony Miller rounded off the scoring after good work by Weir.
Helmsdale and John O'Groats fought out an entertaining 4-4 draw.
Eddie Macgregor's opener for JOG was cancelled out by Adam Mackay but Marc Macgregor's free kick made it 2-1 to the Caithness side at half-time.
Eddie Macgregor extended their lead before Paul Gordon's double pulled it back to 3-3. Adam Mackay put Helmsdale in front with a screamer after taking on three players and finishing from outside the box, but Marc Macgregor scored another free kick in the last minute to ensure it finished all square.
Golspie started well against Keiss and a double by Eoghann Davie had them in control at the break. Keiss got on top of Golspie from the start of the second half and created a series of chances.
Lewis Shepherd pulled one back to make it 2-1 and Keiss were unlucky not to snatch a draw.
On Monday night Staxigoe eased to a 6-1 victory over a young Halkirk side.
Staxigoe were three up at half-time thanks to Martin Banks, Kyle Henderson and Bryan Reid. Halkirk improved after the break and reduced the deficit but Staxigoe responded with quick-fire goals from Banks again, Chris Sutherland and Michael Steven.
The competition – featuring six village clubs from Caithness and two teams from east Sutherland – was set up after the summer amateur leagues in the two counties were scrapped amid concerns over Covid-19 restrictions.
