The long-established Mackay Family Golf Tournament was held at Wick Golf Club on May 1 following a two-year break due to Covid. Eighteen family and friends took part, some travelling from Glasgow.

This event started in 2004 as a friendly annual get-together with some banter around the course followed in the evening by dinner and prize presentations in the town's Norseman Hotel.

Golfers and non-golfers play, with prizes in memory of the late Kathleen (Mackay) Green, John Mackay and Bill Mackay, sister and brothers from Keiss.

Francesca Green (Glasgow) won the trophy for beginners, Ross Harper (Wick) was the winner of the Kathleen Green Junior Cup, Andrew Mackay (Keiss) received the John Mackay Cup for best Stableford points and Doug Mackay (Wick) had the best score over the five par threes.

More than 70 friends and family met in the Norseman for dinner and prizes.
