Louise tops the prizes for Thor event

Councillor Willie Mackay was on hand to dish out the prizes at the Thor House sports day.

Councillor Mackay, who is also voluntary chairman of the Caithness branch of the learning disability charity Enable, praised the competitors for their fantastic sporting efforts over the event.

Louise Forbes was handed the Sports Champion Shield that recognised her as being overall champion for the event following her gold medal wins in the boccia and kurling events.

Other individual wins went to Daniel Miller (seated basketball], Brian Allan (javelin and basketball throws) and Ian Anderson (kurling with assisted chute).
