Liz and Alison hit maximums in Knockout Cup semis

Liz Ronaldson (Sinclair Bay) and Alison Tait (Queen’s) both hit maximums this week to guide their teams to victory in the semi-finals of Wick and District Darts League’s Knockout Cup.

Their opponents were Camps and Seaforth respectively.

In the men’s event there were away wins across the board, with the most notable victory coming from the self-named Dirty Harry Macbeath (Smiddy “4”) who showed Magnum Force in defeating George Macphee (Harper’s) for his first singles win.

Knockout Cup results:

Ladies' Knockout Cup: Queen’s 4 Seaforth 1; Sinclair Bay 4 Camps 2.

League – Men’s Division Two: Comm 2 Norseman 6; Harper's C 2 Smiddy “3” 6; Smiddy “4” 1 Harper’s 7; Seaview B 1 Sinclair Bay 7.

Maximums: Liz Ronaldson (Sinclair Bay), Alison Tait (Queen’s), Alan Forbes (Smiddy “3”) and Sandy Robertson (Harper’s).

Best checkouts: Stewart Fulton (Seaview “B”) 107 and Alison Tait (Queen’s) 66.

The men's fixture lists for the remainder of the league season are complete, and the ladies' fixtures should be distributed by the weekend.

Next week sees the Cricket Singles for both men and ladies (Seaforth club and Queen's Hotel respectively).
