THE team from the Legion held on to top spot in the fourth week of action in the Wick and District Darts League.

The first-division players enjoyed a convincing win, 7-1, over their counterparts from the Smiddy Inn last Tuesday.

Camps are just a point behind, having tied with Watten’s Brown Trout.

In division two, FSC moved to the top of the table after celebrating a 7-1 victory over rivals Comm “A”, while Harpers “C” remain the only side yet to take a point.

In the ladies’ competition, league leaders FSC, the reigning champions, continued their campaign with a triumph against the Camps, 6-2.

Results – Division one: Blackstairs 0, Harpers 8; Camps 4, Brown Trout 4; Seaview 4, Comm “B” 4; Queen’s 3, Norseman 5; Smiddy Inn 1, Legion 7.

Division two: Comm “A” 1, FS Club 7; Mountain Dew 2, Smiddy Inn 6; Norseman “2” 3, Brown Trout “2” 5; Harpers “B” 4, Seaview “B” 4.

Ladies: Crown 3, Mountain Dew 5; Harpers 0, Camps “2” 8; FS Club 6, Camps 2; Seaview 6, Smiddy Inn 2.

Knockout cups – Men: Harpers 4, Harpers “B” 1; Norseman “2” 4, Smiddy “2” 0; Camps 4, Blackstairs 3. Ladies – Harpers 4, Camps 2; Camps “2” 4, Crown 2.

A darts tournament is to be staged in the Portland Arms Hotel, Lybster, tomorrow with £500 in prizes.
