Castletown’s Jack Ryan finished top of his class in horrendous weather at Golspie in the NSKC MSUK club championship final round.

This was Jack’s last race in Honda Cadets, as next year he will move up to Mini Max.

The 13-year-old started in pole position in heat one. After a racing incident at Beaches Corner, where he spun off the track, Jack fought back to finish in third position.

In heat two he started in third position and had a brilliant race, taking the lead on the first lap and opening a big gap to finish first by a good margin.

Jack started in third position in the next heat and again finished well clear in first place.

He started the final in pole position, with heavy rain making the track very wet so the kart had to have a complete change of set-up. In a closely contested race Jack had to defend for the eight minutes but was delighted to finish in first position.

On the podium at Golspie are winner Jack Ryan, second-placed Aiden MacDonald and Ella Matheson who finished third.
