Thurso’s Weigh Inn Indoor Bowling Club held a charity open competition in aid of the west Caithness district nurses. Twenty-four teams from clubs throughout the county took part, raising £626.

A club official said: “We would like to thank all the players for their contribution and for providing the prizes for the two raffles and the tombola. Special thanks go to the Weigh Inn for the use of the venue and of course to the staff who were magnificent.”
