Halkirk United missed out on the chance to go level on points with league leaders Invergordon after suffering defeat at Recreation Park.

Invergordon stormed into a 3-0 lead at half time with goals from Russell Macintyre, a Shaun Kerr penalty and a strike from Steven Mackay.

Andy Mackay pulled one back five minutes into the second half with Mark Webster grabbing a goal in injury time, but the Anglers were unable to reel in an equaliser.
