Thurso Golf Club's Summer League, sponsored by A&A Mackay Builders, sorts out the wheat from the chaff with only the best nine scores counting from 23 Stableford competitions throughout the summer months.

Stewart Gunn took the lead early in the summer and invited all to knock him off the top spot. A few came close but Gunn held them all off with a final winning total of 335 points.

Roddy Gray was second with 333 and Andrew Main came in third with 332, while fourth equal on 329 points were Bryan Suttar, Alan Swanson, Chris Williamson and Jordan Youngson. Keith Dreaves was eighth on 327 points and the last of the prizewinners were Jim Sangster and Chris Sinclair, who were tied on 326.

With some decent weather throughout the summer and a number of new members, the A&A Mackay Builders Summer League continues to be the most popular competition at the club with a total of 1357 rounds played and 138 different players teeing off.
