THE Greens are still on the lookout for new players to swell their ranks ahead of the 2019/20 campaign.

Training has been going ahead and this weekend sees the first of the club's pre-season games. The first match will be an internal trial – Wick against Thurso – with another internal trial the following weekend.

On August 24, Caithness will send two teams – the firsts and seconds – to Golspie to play against Ross Sutherland.

Caithness have been given a bye in the Scottish Cup first round on August 31, so they go straight into round two.

Next month sees the start of the Tennent's National League Division Three fixtures with the Greens opening with a home game at Millbank on September 7 as they take on Ardrossan.

The Greens' first away trip is against Carrick on September 14, and the following weekend they will be back at Millbank to take on Howe of Fife.

Caithness will finish the month with an away match against Murrayfield Wanderers.

Coach George Sutherland is extending an open invitation to all male and female players from high school age to senior, as well as new players, to join the club.

Summer training takes place every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday at Millbank in Thurso, starting at 7pm.

They also train every Saturday with all players – male, female, current and new – meeting up at the caravan car park at Dunnet beach at 10am.
