Great turnout for Wick darts league singles
There was a great turnout of 64 players in the Seaforth Highlanders’ Club on Tuesday for the Wick and District Darts League singles championships.
The titles went to Kevin Donald (Castletown Poachers), Donald Sutherland (Comm) and Highland inter-county player Sammie Campbell (Smiddy “4”).
In the Division One final, Kevin Macgregor squandered eight darts at doubles, then Donald got the chance and took it.
Donald Sutherland swept aside a gallant Mark Bain (Mountain Dew) in Division Two, and in the ladies’ final fellow inter-county player Morgan Perry was no match for Sammie Campbell’s clinical finishing.
