Fun and games at Pony Club Christmas Show
SANTA Claus made an appearance at the local pony club Christmas Show held at the indoor school Halkirk, on Saturday.
The show was hailed a great end to the 2019 season with lots of fun provided with the festive themed games and fancy dress.
Plenty of cheering helped make the pairs jumping and team games very exciting to watch.
During the event a special presentation was made to retiring district commissioner Linda Ramsøy, who was presented with flowers and a Caithness slate clock, with the pony club logo on it, from honorary president Jessie Allan. Linda was thanked for her five years serving at the helm of the committee.
The hard task of judging the fancy dress was given to Jane Campbell, Halkirk, daughter of the late James Campbell, a former DC of the club.
Much to the delight of the younger competitors, Santa Claus arrived towards the end of the classes to make sure none of the children went home empty handed.
