Wick Academy have 14 fixtures to negotiate in the closing four months of the season as they look to improve their position in the Highland League.

The Scorries, who are 15th, have seven home games remaining and seven away. They have picked up 13 points so far from four wins (two at home, two away) and one draw after 20 games.

They are three points better off than Lossiemouth and Rothes, who are 16th and 17th respectively, and four points ahead of bottom club Strathspey Thistle.

There is an eight-point gap between Academy and the team immediately above them in the table, Keith.

Wick are due to welcome fourth-placed Clachnacuddin to Harmsworth Park this weekend, followed by a trip to Aberdeen to take on Banks O’ Dee who are third.

Academy suffered their heaviest two defeats of the season when they played those teams back-to-back at the end of August, conceding a total of 13 goals in the space of four days. The Scorries were beaten 7-0 away by Clach, then 6-1 at home by Banks O’ Dee.
