The Evan Sutherland Retired Members Cup marked the end of the summer season for the Reay seniors.

Reay Golf Club's senior section held its annual competition for the Evan Sutherland Retired Members Cup. The Stableford competition over the Reay links heralds the end of the summer season for the seniors.

The cup was donated in the late 1980s by founder members of the section Hugh Gordon Hall, Mike Reed and Jim McVie and named after long-term seniors organiser Evan who is standing down this year after over 30 years.

The trophy was won by the Reay club’s greens convener Kenny Farmer who, despite a busy year supervising the course recovery, has kept his game in shape.

A recent handicap cut didn’t prevent an under-par round total of 37 points, with a steady outward half of 17 points being surpassed on the inward nine, leaving him four points ahead of the pursuing pack.
