The stormy November weather meant opportunities for competitive action were at a premium at Reay Golf Club, but the seniors did manage to play the latest round of their North Point Distillery Stableford competition.

David A Craig topped the leaderboard with an impressive 40 points, following a great round of 86 which included a birdie at the 16th.

Carol Paterson also managed a birdie at the 16th on her way to a fine round of 78 for a Stableford score of 38 points and a share of second place.

Colin Struthers matched her tally thanks to a round of 84 made up of matching halves of 42. Solid performances from Graham Harness and Hugh Millar saw them both secure places in the top five on 36 points.

The nearest-the-pin trophy, a bottle of spiced rum courtesy of North Point Distillery, was bagged by Fred Groves.

This weekend will see the men competing in round two of their rescheduled Winter Eclectic competition.
