Wick Open 2024 winners crowned as Dee Macangus and Sarah Mieklejohn top leaderboards





Last Saturday saw the Wick Ladies Open, sponsored by Yvonne Fitzgerald Properties, played over a very foggy Reiss Links.

Topping the scratch leaderboard was Dee Macangus, who shot 79, only just ahead of Laura Durrand in second who scored 80.

The first-placed handicap golfer was Sarah Mieklejohn with a score of 69 – the only golfer in the section to finish under 70.

In second was Fiona Harper on 71, with another couple of shots separating her from Alice Fiddler on 73 and Jacqui Greig on 74.

Heather Campbell claimed fifth on countback from Amanda Snashall after both players carded 75, with Jean Sutherland only just behind those two on 76.

The longest drive came (bronze) came from Michelle Smith, while the longest driver (silver) was courtesy of Mollie O’Brien.

Fiona McLeod won the nearest the pin competition.
