Caithness United’s under-15s returned to action for the first time since early December with an emphatic 10-0 victory over their Dingwall counterparts.

The Caithness boys produced some neat passing football and created lots of opportunities from all areas of the park in Sunday's encounter at Contin.

Despite the one-sided nature of the game, Dingwall kept plugging away and maintained their composure throughout.

The Caithness United coaches were all complimentary of their opponents’ attitude and were understandably pleased with their own squad’s performance in their first game together after such a long lay-off.

Coach John Suttar said afterwards: “We have been working a lot at training on retaining possession and building play from the back. To the lads’ credit, they did that well through a lot of neat interchanges.

“The fact that we looked relatively solid at the back was also pleasing. Hopefully we can get a few games under our belt in the coming weeks and build on this performance.”

Caithness United matchday squad (with goals scored): Joshua Hughes, Elliot Cormack, Kyran Alexander, Sean Pearson (1), Lewis Swan, Carter Mackay, Owen Klimas, Owen Bain (1), Josh Sutherland (1), Sam Shearer (1), Morgan Kennedy (1), Scott Durrand (3), Matthew Aitkenhead (captain), Lee Gordon (2), Matthew Mackay.
