Caithness Pony Club winter showjumping league winners
Caithness Pony Club held its 2024/25 winter showjumping league from October to March, with points being accumulated for placings and the best scores taken across three of the dates.
There was a double success for nine-year-old Rachel Macgregor, who won both the 50cm and 60cm classes on her pony Rubble. A maximum 18 points for winning three classes throughout the league were achieved by Tabitha Patterson on Bronllys Another Cherry in the poles class.

Also during March, Caithness Pony Club quiz teams travelled to Invergordon for the Dodson & Horrell Area 1 North Quiz hosted by the Ross-shire branch.
Teams from Caithness, Orkney, Western Isles and Ross-shire took part. There were 12 teams in the mini section and 14 in the junior/senior section.
Results – Mini section: 4 Caithness White (Rachel MacGregor, Rosie Straight and Zara Manson); 6 Caithness Blue (Caitlin MacLeod, Paige Thain and Olivia Sinclair) – Caithness Blue also won the best mascot prize; 8 Caithness Red (Magnus Southall, Eliza MacKenzie and Hannah Sutherland).
Junior/senior section: 6 Caithness Blue (Inga Reid, Gina Cowe, Erica Pottinger and Megan Gillion); 9 Caithness White (Coz McPhail, Caysie Sinclair, Ella Budge and Emmie MacLean).
The teams trained weekly over the winter with Amy Manson and Steph Cowe.
