Caithness Ladies were edged out by the odd goal in five in their Highlands and Islands League match against Nairn St Ninian on Sunday.

The 3-2 defeat in Thurso leaves Caithness sixth in the nine-team division with two wins and three losses from their opening five fixtures.

Nairn took the lead early on through Jenny Saunders. Emily Darge doubled their lead, only for Chloe Stebbing to pull one back before half-time.

Darcey Woodman added a third for Nairn before Caithness captain Carly Erridge reduced the deficit.

The visitors held on to claim all three points.

Buckie Ladies moved to the top of the table on goal difference after they thumped Orkney 6-0.
