Buchan sets fastest time in round three of Caithness autocross season

Gary Buchan took top spot in round three of the Caithness Autocross Club season, held at Towerhill on June 6.

Buchan set the fastest time of the day in the Tin Top Special unlimited section with his Mini (1.04.65), ahead of Gary Elder's Mini in the same category (1.07.44).

Gordie Donn (1.08.90) was the fastest out of the cars in the 1701cc unlimited (male, closed diff) section in his Honda Civic.

On an excellent day of racing there were 39 competitors, 11 of whom were juniors who showed good driving skills.

Other section winners were Ryan Henderson, Nicola Donn, Angus Manson, Ben Swanson, Sarah Donn, Olly Scott, Ronald Gunn, Johnny Omand and Michael Cragg.

The next event will be held on June 20, with the venue yet to be decided.
