Bell is best in final round of Thurso winter eclectic

The final round of Thurso Golf Club's winter eclectic was played on Saturday and Stuart Bell was the winner with a nett 68. Scott Mackay and Steve Spargo both returned nett 69.

Andrew Main was next best with the lowest gross of the day, a 77 for a nett 70.

The final leaderboard is: 1 Bryan Suttar (gross 63, handicap 3.2, nett 59.8); 2 Ed Wyllie (66, 3.9, 62.1); 3 Steven Lowe (70, 7.6, 62.4); 4 Steve Spargo (67, 4.4, 62.6); 5 Stuart Bell (75, 10.8, 64.2); 6 Andrew Main (68, 3.7, 64.3); 7 Mick Ross (73, 8.4, 64.6); 8 Keith Dreaves (74, 7.5, 66.5); 9 Scott Mackay (75, 6.9, 68.1); 10 Steven Osborne (74, 5.7, 68.3).

This Saturday sees the start of the summer season with the Captain versus Vice-Captain match.

There will be a draw for this competition so golfers are encouraged to get their names in as soon as possible.

There is an entry sheet on the noticeboard at the back door of the clubhouse or you can enter your name on Facebook.
