Awards handed over at Dounreay Fly Fishing Association AGM
Dounreay Fly Fishing Association held its 2024 annual general meeting and presentation of trophies at the Brown Trout Hotel in Watten.
Before the business part of the evening, chairman James Simpson invited Alison Campbell to present the awards for the association’s competitions earlier in the year.

After the presentations, the chairman opened the AGM by thanking members for attending and for their help and support during the year. He also thanked the Brown Trout Hotel for accommodating the club for meetings and competition weigh-ins.
Mr Simpson then spoke about the mixed weather and fishing during the season.
Before proceeding to the election of the committee and officials for 2025 the chairman reported that two members of DFFA had qualified for the final of the Scottish championship on the Lake of Menteith, with Alex Donald just missing out on a Scotland cap next year by the small margin of five ounces.
