Academy get home tie with Huntly in Highland League Cup

Wick Academy have been drawn at home to Huntly in the first round of this season’s Highland League Cup.

Academy reached the semi-finals of the tournament last season before losing 3-1 to the eventual cup winners Cove Rangers.

Cup draw:

Preliminary round (Saturday, November 2): Strathspey Thistle v Clachnacuddin.

First round (Saturday, November 16): Buckie Thistle v Deveronvale; Formartine United v Inverurie Locos; Fort William v Fraserburgh; Keith v Lossiemouth; Rothes v Nairn County; Strathspey Thistle or Clachnacuddin v Forres Mechanics; Turriff United v Brora Rangers; Wick Academy v Huntly.

Ties are to be played to a finish on the scheduled date.
