Works on A836 suspended over festive season

Previously planned works on the A836 between Lairg and Altnaharra have now been suspended until January 5.

The road will not close as was previously intimated and will be open as normal until then.

The works were due to commence at the A836 at its junction with the A9 at the Dornoch Bridge roundabout. The works were to extend northwest and northeast via Bonar Bridge and then north via Lairg and Tongue before heading easterly via Bettyhill, Strathy, Reay and Forss to its junction at Pennyland.
