By SPP Reporter

A WOMAN was injured when her 4X4 pickup left the road on the A9 at Dunbeath on Sunday afternoon.

The northbound vehicle left the road at Castlehill at 3.54pm on the outskirts of the village and came to rest on its side in a field.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said the driver sustained minor injuries which were treated at Caithness General Hospital.

He said: “We considered sending a helicopter to the scene, but when it was confirmed the driver sustained minor injuries, it was not required.

“We would appeal for any witnesses to the accident to come forward to provide us with information about what happened.”

Two minor road traffic collisions took place on Monday at Lybster at 7.25am and Watten at 7.30pm. Police said nobody was hurt in either accident.
