Woman hit by lorry in Inverness street

A woman has been taken to hospital in Inverness with serious injuries following a crash involving a lorry and a pedestrian in the city.

A spokesman for Police Scotland said officers were called to Crown Street around 12.45pm on Friday.

He said: "A woman, the pedestrian, has been taken to Raigmore Hospital with serious injuries and the road is currently closed.

"Anyone with information that could help with our collision investigation, particularly dash-cam or CCTV footage, is asked to contact us on 101, quoting incident 1267 of Friday, March 12."
