The woman has stayed out of trouble since the incident last year the court was told.

Patricia Brown (51) of Sweyn Road, Thurso, admitted threatening or abusive behaviour by shouting and swearing and making the threats to her ex and his new partner in a house in the town’s Mount Pleasant Road on August 14 last year.

Solicitor Meegan Anderson told Wick Sheriff Court: “She accepts her life has moved on.

“She is no longer fixated on her separation and she has no intention of repeating her previous behaviour.”

Admonishing her, Sheriff Ian Miller opted not to impose a non-harassment order.
