Wick man drove car without insurance or test certificate on A99

An unqualified driver was fined £400 this week when he admitted using his car without insurance and a test certificate.

Mark McKay (62) also pleaded guilty to driving without a qualified driver and L plates.

McKay, of Seaforth Avenue, Wick, also incurred eight penalty points, at Wick Sheriff Court on Wednesday.

The offences occurred on the A99 at Bruan, on March 7.

The accused admitted a previous record of offending.
