Wick High School prize-winners face the camera
Wick High School pupils who won prizes during the past academic year pose for a group photograph at the award ceremony along with guest speaker Anne McBeath (front, left) retired deputy rector, and other guests.
The dux pupil was David Teixeira (front, centre) and this year there were five runners-up – Maja Pearson (centre, left), Sarah Harper (centre, second left), Archie Budge (centre, right),who was also joint runner-up in the BBM Solicitors prize for English and social subjects, Sara Malik (centre, second right) and Cate McGowan (centre, third right).
Other trophy-winners were Declan McPhee (seated, front left), who won the Kevin Costello Prize for endeavour in science, which was handed over by Michelle Costello (standing, second left), Callum Forbes (seated, third left), who won the BBM Solicitors trophy for English and social subjects, which was handed over by Rona Plowman (seated, fourth left) and joint runner-up Kirston Ganson (seated, second left).
Cameron Cormack (seated, fourth right), won the Subsea 7 prize for technical S4, while the David Lockie Memorial Prize for technical, presented by Elizabeth Lockie (standing, right), was shared by (seated, from right) Lucia Sinclair, Vicki Dunnet and Chloe Dunnet.
