FIRE crews from Wick were called to the outskirts of Tannach after a car caught fire this afternoon.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the incident took place at 12.20pm when fire officers used two sets of breathing apparatus and one hose-reel jet to control the blaze during a 25-minute operation.

Police sealed off Tannach road to oncoming traffic while fire crews extinguished the blaze.

Nobody was hurt as a result of the incident
