Caithness-based company Shore, which creates snacks and sauces from Scottish seaweed, has collected gold, silver and bronze at a national awards ceremony.
Shore topped a host of national brands to win a snack category gold award at the prestigious UK Free From Food Awards for its sweet sriracha seaweed chips.
It was an evening of success for the Wick-headquartered firm, as Shore also landed two further awards in the food innovation and store cupboard categories, winning bronze in the innovation category for its lightly salted chips range and silver in the store cupboard category for its black kale and seaweed pesto.
It follows earlier success for Shore's vegan-friendly, gluten free and low calorie products with wins in the Great Taste and World Innovation awards.
The Free From Awards saw 600 entries from national brands and supermarkets across the UK.
A team of judges, including manufacturers, product developers, chefs, nutritionists, coeliacs and allergy reactors, scrutinised, tasted and discussed every entry and summed up Shore's gold award winning sriracha seaweed chips as: “A really well considered product that delivers on all fronts.”
Shore’s joint managing director Keith Paterson said: “We are truly delighted to have won a gold, silver and bronze at the prestigious Free From Food Awards.
"It’s a wonderful consumer-trusted stamp of approval for our products. Our team work incredibly hard to deliver truly great tasting recipes that hero our sustainable and nutritious local seaweed. This award is great recognition for that work.”
