FAR North music lovers have an early chance to get in the festival spirit this year.

B-fest founder and owner of the Blackstairs Lounge Bar Ryan Cook is putting on a two-day event in May at the Wick pub.

Wee B will be spread across the bar and beer garden, and will feature some of the best new bands from around Scotland as well as local talent.

The mini festival on May 26 and 27 will be a completely separate event in terms of line-up from B-fest – the UK’s most northerly mainstream music festival which returns to the Riverside on Saturday, August 11, for the third time.

Cook recently announced Scottish musical legends The Proclaimers are to headline the main festival.

More details are to be released in due course.

Any local bands which want to play should e-mail Ryan at ryancook@rypeco.com
