A Caithness charity tractor run scheduled for this weekend has been cancelled because of the weather.

With strong winds forecast for much of Saturday, accompanied by heavy rain, Orkney members will be unable to travel as planned so the organisers from Caithness Vintage Tractor and Machinery Club have decided to postpone the two-day event.

Club secretary Liz Hewitson said: "We hope to reschedule in due course."

The road run was due to follow a 60-mile route from Westerseat, ending up in Thurso, on Saturday. More activities had been planned for Sunday.
