An Open Industrial Convener at the Caithness County Show said the annual event continued to be a success to the local area.

Jacquelene Macleod said the show, particularly in the Open industrial tent, continued to drive a good number of competition entries, with some entrants being particularly good quality.

Speaking just before she was to begin presenting the prizes to successful entries across Open Industrial categories, she said despite a small decrease, she was delighted with the number of entries available across all categories.

She was particularly impressed with one winning entry, and the manner in which the entire event was organised, thanks to some brilliant work behind the scenes.
