THE police are appealing for information after damage was discovered to the outer casing of a defibrillator situated outside the Red Cross shop on the High Street in Thurso.

The damage was discovered around 10.20pm on Tuesday, October 8.

A police spokesperson said: "Defibrillators are extremely important and potentially lifesaving equipment. Anyone who damages or tampers with them is acting extremely irresponsibly."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting reference NJ1992/19, or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111 if they wish to remain anonymous.
