Vandalism at Rise Dance Academy in Thurso has sparked a police appeal “for potential witnesses or suspects”.

An “acidic substance” was poured on a parked vehicle at the academy sometime between March 13 and March 14.

Officers are particularly looking for anyone “in the area” who saw “anything or anybody unusual” as well as those with dashcam fitted to their vehicles.

The appeal stated: “We're looking to identify any potential witnesses or suspects in relation to a vandalism that took place within the grounds of Rise Dance Academy carpark in Thurso between Thursday the 13th of March and Friday the 14th of March where an acidic substance was poured on a parked vehicle.

“If you were in the area did you see anything or anybody unusual? If you were driving and have a dashcam fitted we would encourage you to go back and check in case you captured anything that could help”.

It added: “If you have any information, please get in touch on 101 or online, and quote crime reference CR/0100613/25.”
