Repairs are under way after a burst main caused a water outage in Halkirk.

Scottish Water engineers are now on the scene of the burst in Camilla Street and carrying out repairs following the outage on Thursday.

They have warned of possible traffic disruption while the repairs are made.

In an update posted at 1.15pm, a spokesperson for Scottish Water said it hoped to restore water by 5.15pm, but would issue a further update by 5.45pm.

“We are currently repairing a burst water pipe which is causing the interruption to the water supply for customers in Halkirk.

“The burst has been located on Camilla Street, which may cause some traffic disruption while the repair is ongoing.

“The estimated completion time for the repair is 17:15. We expect to complete the repair in a timeframe which means we do not plan to provide bottled water.”
