Members of Caithness Vintage Tractor and Machinery Club had a visit to the newly renovated John O’Groats Mill and were shown round by Rognvald Brown, chairman of the mill trust.

The historic complex has been brought back into use as a heritage attraction and community venue in a £4.9 million transformation led by John O’Groats Mill Trust.

Two community events were held last weekend and the mill will open fully this Saturday.

From then, the mill will be open to the public six days a week from 10am to 5pm (last entry 4pm and closed on Wednesdays). Parking is available, although the mill can also be reached along an all-abilities coastal path from the John O’Groats signpost.
