Thurso’s Community Cafe throws a lifeline with new events to help those most in need
Thurso’s Community Cafe (TCC) is making a mark in the town with its aim to open up effective communication channels for people struggling with mental health issues and addiction.
Ann Brock was instrumental in setting up the original TCC at the harbour area of the town back in 2018 and is pushing forward with new events at the recently opened premises on Traill Street.
Ann says: “We are really looking forward to these new projects and would encourage anyone interested to pop along. There’s always tea coffee and cake.”
Up and coming classes and group events:
• Expressive Art: Thursday, February 20 from 1.30pm at the cafe. Six-week block of classes using art to help mental health.
• On evenings the cafe opens from 6pm till 8.30pm from Thursday, Feb 27 then every Thursday thereafter, open as normal with light bites and pool with support on hand for chatting.
