Thurso Players new production gets underway this week

Thurso Players is about to embark on its latest production in the Mill Theatre with a performance of The Memory of Water by Shelagh Stephenson.

The play opened in 1996 before transferring to the West End where it won an Olivier Award for Best Comedy in 2000.
The Memory of Water sees three adult sisters return to the family home on the eve of their mother’s funeral.

As the day unfolds the stresses and strains mount, current and long-standing frustrations emerge and family secrets are revealed. As the connection between the past and the present becomes increasingly clear, how might that shape the future of this family?

“I found the characters and storyline absolutely relatable and it genuinely made me laugh. With a wee nip and tuck here and there this could totally be my family.”

Tickets are available from TicketSource online or McBeath’s Jewellers, Thurso.
Performances are on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday (June 27-29) this week at 7.30pm in the Mill Theatre, Thurso.
