Thurso golfers’ 13-hour challenge raises more than £2k for Caithness charities





Golfers have gone the extra hole – by completing a 13-hour sporting challenge for two Caithness charities.

The group of young men took part in the fundraising challenge earlier in the summer, playing 72 holes of golf in one day. The challenge took them a notable 13 hours between 5am and 10pm at Thurso Golf Course.

A total of £2290 was raised, which has been divided between Caithness Mental Health Support Group and Caithness Cancer Support Group.

Ruaridh Mackay, Lee Lockhart, Cameron McIntosh, Jordan Bain, Cameron Earnshaw and Michael Smith split between two groups to complete the challenge.

The gents wanted to thank Thurso Golf Club for the use of the course, buggies and clubhouse throughout the day.
