A Thurso-based dancing group says it looks forward to having people come along to its classes to tighten up their lockdown muscles.

Classes are open to anyone as a taster of what Thurso Come Dancing does and covers Samba, Salsa, Jive and Cha Cha basic steps – and you don't even need a partner.

Lesley Gunn runs Thurso Come Dancing with support from her dancers and is an associate ballroom teacher with UKA Dance since 2016.

"I joined Zoom for my classes like a lot of teachers during lockdown to try and keep my dancers moving, but we are looking forward to getting back to normal lessons and classes soon," said Lesley.

"Well, the Zoom Latin Line classes went down well and the attendees requested a few more classes so that they can get to grips with the steps and remember them. I thought it would be nice to allow everyone to practice and this also gives anyone who missed the classes to come and learn the four dances we covered but in a more leisurely manner."

New Zoom classes are £3 per person per class and you can pay for them as you go along or in advance if you prefer.

Dates coming up are May 6 and May 20 from 7.30pm to 8.30pm.
