Three accused of causing a disturbance and damaging property in Wick

Three men appeared at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday accused of causing a disturbance and damage to a property in Wick's Harrow Hill at the weekend.

Patrick Stewart (22), of Ord Road, Marybank, 22-year-old Morgan Stubbings, of East End, Wick, and James Alexander (23), of Cliff Cottages, Papigoe, all pleaded not guilty to a charge of wilful and reckless damage.

Stewart denied stealing a debit card from the occupant. An intermediate diet was fixed for September 23 at Wick Sheriff Court and trial on October 19.

The trio were released on bail.

The main charge alleges that on May 23 at 3 Harrow Hill they did wilfully and recklessly destroy and damage property, force entry to the dwelling occupied by Lyall Shepherd, break windows, throw a TV and speakers out of the window, overturn furniture, damage furniture, remove gas fire fittings from a wall, causing damage to pipes, remove heating and ventilation fittings from walls and ceiling, detach a hand basin and toilet bowls, causing damage to pipes and water to leak out, pull out a kitchen cooker and pull out water pipes under a kitchen sink, causing water to leak out.
