Stornoway rockers Peat and Diesel announced today that they are postponing this weekend's gig in Wick due to Covid and are rescheduling it instead for April 28.

In an official Twitter post, the band posted this message: "So the inevitable has happened, after two years of avoiding it two of the team have come down with bloody Covid. So it's with heavy hearts that we are having to postpone this weekends shows in Perth and Wick.

"Thankfully due to the help of so many amazing people who work in the background we have managed to arrange new dates so we only have to wait a few weeks to get the session you have been waiting for.

"We hope this hasn’t caused too many problems and we are really grateful for all the fans that understand how hard it is for bands to try and commit to gigs with so many restrictions at the moment."

The new dates are:

28th April - Wick

29th April - Perth

Tickets for the Wick gig in The Waterfront Nightclub (Apr 28 at 7pm) are priced £22 and available at: www.ticketweb.uk/event/peat-and-diesel-the-waterfront-nightclub-tickets/11380115
