Police Scotland appeal after thieves make off with cash after break-in at Sutherland NC500 route stop-off Ardgay Stores and Highland Café

Thieves have broken into a popular shop and café in Sutherland.

Police say the culprits made off with cash from Ardgay Stores and Highland Café in Main Street, Ardgay at around 10.20pm on Tuesday this week.

The premises, a popular stop-off on the NC500 tourist route as well as serving local residents, is run by Adam and Holly Wardrop

A Police Scotland spokesman said: “Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 0545 of Wednesday, 23 October. Alternatively, you can remain anonymous and contact the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or online via their website.
